The Pony Club
for gay women and their friends
About us
The Pony Club was dreamt up by a string of fillies fed up with the South coast scene.
It is more than just a website, it is a way of life.
Our special events cater for all pony tastes - from beach parties, live music,
to horse riding, theatre trips, fine dining or walking the coastline...
Pony Club is here for you!
Our site theponies.co.uk is also a useful information guide for women visiting
the area looking for gay-friendly places to stay, eat, party or chill and
anyone wanting to meet new fillies. It is becoming a comprehensive guide to
Dorset and the South for special events, listings for bars, clubs, community
and social groups and professional services.
Primarily for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and trans women - it is also open to
those who have an affinity with our community.
But a group is only as strong as its members, so join us now!
THE PONY CLUB NEEDS YOU!
It is thanks to our small team of volunteers that we can provide this service.
The club is ever-growing and your feedback or input always welcome.

Ponies to join first Dorchester Pride
A new club for gay women is taking to the streets of Dorchester as part of the county town's first ever pride parade.
The Pony Club, a social group for gay women, will be joining hundreds to celebrate diversity in the county at the Love Parade on August 30 from 1pm till late.
Sarah Shirtcliffe said, "It's fantastic that the gay community now has its own parade in west Dorset. Many living in rural areas can easily feel isolated and the parade is a great show of strength and unity. The Pony Club hopes that gay women at the parade will come and join us for some of our amazing events, to meet new friends, find love or simply to promote their gay-friendly business to a wider market."
Dorset Echo
DORCHESTER is ready for its first Gay Pride festival later this month, organisers say.
The county town will play host to a Love Parade on Sunday, August 30 when diversity, music and freedom will be celebrated.
Gay men, lesbian women and bisexual and transgender men and women are inviting all residents and visitors to join or watch the South Street procession.
A big party for all will be held afterwards at Café Jagos in High West Street featuring live drag acts and singers and cash will be raised for local charities.
Members of The Pony Club, a new group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transwomen and their friends in Dorset will be joining the celebration.
Founding member Vered Zaada said the group was set up as a networking tool and to help fill the huge void in the scene for gay women in the area.
